FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1-What is Pulmonary Rehab and how can it help me? Pulmonary Rehab incorporates progressive exercises that help build endurance, stamina, and strength. "Slow and Steady wins the race" is our motto. Individualized programs are set up for each patient. MedServe also gives each patient a resistive breathing device to help increase and improve breathing.

2-How long does Pulmonary Rehab last- each session and the entire program? Each session last anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour and most insurances pay for up to 90 days. The typical program is 2-3 times each week for the duration of 3 months.

3-Can I come more than 2-3 times a week? Yes, if your insurance allows. MedServe also provides a Maintenance Program for patients that have completed their Pulmonary Rehab or PT sessions. Maintenance is offered 5 days per week at $20 per month, unlimited visits. The Maintenace Program is like a gym membership, there is no limit to how long you can come. MedServe has patients utilizing the Maintenance Program for 10 + years now.

4-Do you supply oxygen for those patients that need it? Yes. MedServe has 5 regular and 1 high flow concentrators. They are able to provide up to 15 liters of oxygen for those patients that require it. They work closely with the doctors and monitor all vital signs, including oxygen saturations, multiple times throughout each session.

5-How do I make an appointment to get started in your program? Have your PCP or Lung doctor write you a prescription and fax it to MedServe at 803-327-8664. They will be in contact with you within 48 business hours of receiving that fax to make you an appointment.

6-MedServe is open Monday- Thursday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am- 12:00 pm.
